Job Title: Operations, Marine & Vetting Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various aspects of commercial operations for ocean-going vessels, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of commercial operations for ocean-going vessels, including but not limited to voyage orders, pre and post fixture activities, DA's (disbursement accounts), agent appointment and handling, freight collection, demurrage calculations, stowage plan checking, cargo tank preparation, and more.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize vessel performance and voyage profitability.
• Monitor and manage vessel schedules, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
• Participate in vetting and inspections of vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with marine teams, and provide valuable insights from your marine experience on Oil or Chemical Tankers (experience in this area is an added value).
• Utilize your excellent communication skills to liaise with various teams, clients, and partners effectively.
• Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills to enhance operational efficiency.
• Foster a team-oriented spirit and collaborate with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
• Exhibit qualities such as punctuality, reliability, adaptability, and meticulousness to excel in this role.
• Be promptly available to address any operational emergencies or requirements.

Requirements:

• A University degree in the shipping domain.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial operations of ocean-going vessels in a similar managerial position.
• Fluency in English is a must.
